[Husker] Pelini Personality & Behavior

Interesting to read the variety of opinions.

I am not sure what people thought they were going to get when he was
hired as head coach. If someone still has the tape, go back to the Bowl
Game against Michigan State when he was the interim head coach after
Solich was dismissed and see how he acted. Unsportsmanlike conduct
called on him when he started chewing the referee in the second half.
At the time, people probably thought "good deal, somebody is at least
standing up for principles" or "wow, finally a fire driven spirit" after
Osborne and Solich.

One thing that I have learned as a physician is that it is next to
impossible to change a personality. You can to a certain degree, alter
behavior.

Did you really think that Bo Pelini would morph into a docile coach?
Did you really think he would stop talking to officials during a game?
I think he has a pretty high level of expectation from his assistants;
so do you think his personality would somehow be different in this
regard than in other factions?

Just my observations. I have no value judgments concerning his style.
I am pretty sure that if something is getting out of hand, that the
Athletic Director will do something.........make that not pretty sure,
but darned sure.
