[Husker] Kansas State Preview

I wasn't thinking about a comparison until A&M and ND were brought up. Not
too sure how one would accurately compare the Head Coaches since so many
have had varied experience as position coaches in the NFL and the NCAA.
Further, I am not sure of the relevance either.

However, to answer the question about my opinion... I would not say that
Pelini is of the same caliber as those mentioned below. Not yet. I do
believe that he will continue to grow and mature as a HC with TO as his
mentor. I wish him well in the process, too. If anyone read into an
earlier post that I was in favor of firing the coach, then I'll just
apologize for a poorly written line. Maybe I should have used hot-head or
something more politically correct.
He understands that execution is ultimately his problem. After last year's
VA Tech game Pelini said, "We're not executing as consistently as we would
like to, a lot of that is coaching. We're giving up too many big plays and
making bonehead errors." Bo said that, not me!
In any case, my original post wasn't supposed to induce negativity. Perhaps
some realism. Sorry to rain on the parade for those who fail to see how the
HC development process is unfolding.

Many NU fans wanted to fire Osborne in the mid 1970s and the early
1990s (when the Daily Nebraskan editorialized for a new coach).
Really, in Pelini's second year, is there any significance to this
question? If so, not much.
Pelini is off to a successful start and the future looks promising,
but he's not finished developing and reaching his ultimate goals.

So...In your opinion, is Bo Pelini the same caliber coach that Bob Stoops,
Les Miles or Mack Brown or even Tom Osborne is?
