[Husker] 2010 OSU vs. Nebraska announced as Homecoming game

There are a fair number of people with Nebraska ties at the University and throughout the community. Having been here almost 20 years ... there's a reason I have not left for greener pastures when opportunities have arisen. Once I got used to a little slower pace of life, this has been as good as my first 30 years in the Big O.

OSU people love it when Nebraska people come. The atmosphere around the monument to Boone Pickens is much improved compared to the days of old decrepit Lewis Field. With Homecoming next year, it might just be Tailgating heaven. They still talk about when OSU finally beat Nebraska back in the Jammal Lord days how Nebraska fans went out of their way to congratulate OSU fans for their victory. Imagine OU fans reactions ... trust me, I've seen fistfights outside the stadium after Bedlam games.

Finally, when Nebraska beat Miami in 1994/5 Orange Bowl to finally get the MNC, you would have thought I had something to do with it. Many local friends called me congratulating me the next day, when they saw me around town wearing red the next few days they congratulated me ... it was amazing.

The more we talk, the more I may decide to get tickets again next year. I took the year off to rest my checking account.

I live in Cushing...23 miles from Stillwater. I already have my tickets to
NU-OSU basketball this year and OSU-NU football. Folks are real nice in
Stillwater...was just there today.
