[Husker] NU/OU Line

Not negative Scott...just realistic.  I think that OU's offense will score more points against our defense than our offense will score against their defense.  But....that doesn't take into account crazy stuff happening like a booted lateral pass or an insane number or turnovers, or OU only kicking field goals and we beat them with a long pass in the last minute, or a monsoon, etc. etc.  So not hopeless by any means but I think we'll need some breaks.

I know people always say the betting line is just an indication of where the $$ is and limits the bookies’ losses or whatever, but don’t be surprised if the game ends up being pretty close to the line. I am convinced there is more to the spreads than what people think…although they were a bit off on the Iowa St game. I can easily see a 20-10 OU win here, I’m not sure OU can put up numbers like last season against this defense, but I also don’t see NU scoring unless OU has breakdown(s) somewhere on defense.

I hate being negative, but this week looks tough.

And over the week the line has moved toward Nebraska ...which blows my mind.  It's now -5.5 which I think means too much money was being bet on Nebraska getting 6 so it moved to only give them 5 1/2 and bring out more money on OK. Huh.  I never bet the Husker games, but that would be an attractive game to put some money on Oklahoma (if I didn't have such a personal interest.)  But I thought we would cover the 13 fairly easily against Baylor and would have lost all my money.

Same here, if I had to guess I'd say OU could easily win by 20, but that
is why I never bet!

I was a little surprised to see that Oklahoma is only favored by 6
points.
