[Husker] Marve to visit UNL during spring game

Actually, if you think about it, your note takes his quote out of context since you clipped one phrase from all the words that were spoken.

Really though, I don't think it was either conceited, taken out of context, or anything else.  I think to believe so is to take just those few words too literally.  It's just someone talking, not a prepared statement.  If you read (or post) the whole quote, the guy is quite clearly saying that they "don't* want to go to a program that is rebuilding, for just the reasons he specified.  I think the words you singled out was simply his way of not trying to denigrate those programs that are in a rebuilding effort.  It sure seems clear that if the kids was a freshman, that would be ok, but not for the limited years of eligibility that he has left.

It seems that giving someone the benefit of the doubt is getting tougher.

In the article Dad says, "We don't mind rebuilding anything, but he wants to be on a team that's on the verge of winning a conference championship or a player or two away..."

"we don't mind rebuilding anything?!"  Is it just me, or is that incredibly conceited?  Maybe he was quoted incorrectly or out of context.
