Moreover, it appears that the coaches may be rewarded for a successful
start with salary increases and it sounds as if B. Pellini wants increases
for his assistants. Washington just hired away an assistant with a
salary that works out to about $700K/year, not so much different than
some head coaches at smaller schools. I think that staff continuity
(so long as you have the right people) contributes to success and hope
that B. Pellini and T. Osborne develop a structure that fosters continuity.
