Coach P said in his post game that Helu had an infection in his knee that
came about yesterday.

What a game. First, my one kudos to Clemson. Man can they hit. I am
guessing, but it looked like they knocked Roy Helu
out of the game before the first half. He took a couple of hard shots
and before he came out of the game, it looked like he was tapping the
side of his helmet. I was wondering if that was a signal that he needed
to come out. He looked glassy
eyed on the sidelines and that was the last that we saw of him for the
rest of the game.
Joe Ganz looked like he was beat up also. He was limping earlier,
and when he went down in the 4th, I thought that was the last we would
see him Being the tough cookie that he is, he came back and directed
the two drives ending in field goals that won the game for us. He has
heart and if I needed a reason to throw rocks at Bill C$%$#$%% house, it
would be that the best qb
sat on the bench for the first part of the season last year. It proves
that Bill was trying to help his buddy instead of trying to
win games.
I was disappointed in Nebraska failing to score touchdowns with 1st
and goal. I think that shows the weakness in the offensive line. The
game really wasn't as close as the score indicated and Nebraska was
definitely the best team. Fortunately we had a great field goal kicker
and that was the difference.
I think the greatest improvement in the Huskers from this year over
last year is conditioning. We were much more dominant in the second
half of most of our games this year. Part of the reason is half time
adjustments, but most of it is the team played as hard in the second
half as they did in the first half.
A great game for the Huskers;one they can be proud of.
GO BIG RED
