[Husker] Witt saga

Steve Sipple has been doing some digging and it seems that the speculation
on the list was not too far off.

 

It appears that 1. Witt felt the coaching staff preferred Lee over Witt. 2.
Witt asked the coaches to name a starter at the end of the spring which BP
declined to do. 3. BP did inform Witt that a request for release of the
scholarship at the end of the semester may not be granted. Those all came
from someone "close" to the Husker program.
