[Husker] Nebraska's Mt. Rushmore of Football

I know this is an older topic, but when I finally got to Gerald's
message it got me to thinking that I don't want a Mt Rushmore of Husker
football. There is no way to define its character in just four people.
Four groups of people - maybe [coaches, players, reporters, fans (whole
state)].

We have had some very special coaches, Bob and Tom being the cream of
the crop.

We have had hundreds of special players that have engrained themselves
into our adoring memory

The reporters and announcers have been the conduit that has feed that
adoration (I remember many a Sunday morning not leaving my room til I
had read every word of every article in the Journal Star sports section
(and poured over every stat).

Nothing can replace the sensation of standing with 70+ thousand of your
closest friends in Memorial Stadium on Gameday.

Nebraska football encompasses all of these things. To try and limit it
to four faces would be a crime.

Speaking of "man, woman, and child", how about Lyle Bremser on Mt
Rushmore of Nebraska Football?
