I disagree with you predicitons on who will be the favorite when NU plays KSU and Baylor. I think NU will be favored to win both games. And I dont know what KSU/NU game you watched but the one I did had NU winning 73-51.

Of course, predictions are difficult in Big 12 basketball, but I
don't think this team will fold as teams have under the last couple
of coaches. It is possible that they will wear down because they
play so hard, but they will not fold. The way they play defense
and chew the clock on offense, they will be in most games even
against more talented teams.
WRT the rest of the year, Missouri will be heavily favored in
Columbia, Nebraska will be heavily favored at home against Colorado,
Kansas will be heavily favored in Lawrence, Nebraska will be favored
at home against Texas A&M, Kansas State will be favored in Manhattan,
Nebraska will be favored at home against Iowa State, and Baylor will
be favored in Waco. So, NU looks to have three at home that it
should win, which would be eight conference wins.
If NU can hold the home court against lessor rated teams and pull off
an upset on the road (e.g., K State has a let down after soundly
beating NU earlier in the year or at Baylor which has now lost four
in a row), that would be 9-7 in the Big 12. Even at 8-8, NU probably
finishes in the top half of the Big 12. At 9-7, with a win against
Texas and a split with K State, a top 4 finish isn't out of the
question. Currently, NU is tied for 4th with K State. OU, KU, and
Missouri are looking pretty good to take the top three positions.
NU's RPI is not good --- in the 70s --- so clearly NU still needs
some quality wins, but the Big 12 is the fourth rated conference
so the opportunity is still there.
It is incredible that Doc has this group in a position to play their
way into the NCAA tournament. It is an amazing coaching job. I hope
Doc can step up the recruiting.
