[Husker] Husker: Other side of the coin

Jason Peter talks about his brother in his Hero of the Underground
book, with many many expletives directed at Lou Holtz.

Off the top of my head - Damien Peter was injured diving in a pool, to
the point he was severely disabled. He still attended Notre Dame,
athough Holtz never acknowledged him nor attempted to make him a part
of the football team. Damien was hurt before he attended Notre Dame,
but after he'd already gotten a scholarship.

Jason Peter also makes clear in his book that when Damien transferred
to Nebraska, Osborne established a relationship with him although he
technically had no reason to do so.

BTW, I do not watch Holtz on TV, nor do I mention him by name on my
web site. He is known as "the crap-mouthed guy who sits next to Mark
May." My distaste towards him is not because of Peter's book (although
it solidifies my opinion), but because it irks me that the guy left
every program he was part of with NCAA violations, gets paid to do
motivational speaking (bullshit artist), and is now employed by the
world leader in sports despite being God-awful.
