[Husker] Husker: Other side of the coin

If Bodtmann is good enough to play at Nebraska then he will DEFINITELY
get looks/offers from other schools regardless of what time of year it
is or how far along in the process it is, especially now since this
story has been publicized. This reeks of sour grapes by the "former"
coach and all others involved with Bodtmann. Every year since colleges
were formed, kids often don't know where they are going until the summer
for pete's sake, and I realize athletics obviously creates a need for
earlier decisions, but I personally know guys (kids when it happened)
who went places and were not even sure where they were going until
April/May, etc.
I do not feel bad about this one bit, and as I said, if the kid is that
good, he will get his scholarship somewhere, even if it means someone
else loses theirs now because of it.

Mike Nolan raised the question the other day: do we know if Pelini can
comment on a player NU does not sign, even after signing day?
Someone noted the other day that Buffalo had only 9 commits as of a few
days ago. Several other MAC schools are in similar shape. Yet none of
them (according to Rivals) have offered Bodtmann a scholarship. No
question the kid is perceived as "damaged goods". It's a rotten
situation, and you have to feel badly for him. But whether Pelini is the
bad guy in all this is unknowable at this point and may always be.
