Fellow Husker Fans,

It's a great day to be a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan! It's an
even greater day to be the same fan in Tucson, Arizona! I went to the game
(arrived Tuesday night) and came back today. It was my wife and youngest
son's first Nebraska game (other than Spring practice). They were amazed.

                Couple of observations:

Holiday Bowl Parade was awesome. I know there are better parades, but this
one was very well done. We were in the grandstands. Our "Go Big Red" cheer
drowned out the "U of A" cheers. The Lincoln Southeast band performed "Hail
Varsity" during the parade.simply amazing!

We stayed on the Naval Amphibious Base in Coronado.great location, great
view of the port. We saw a few Husker and Arizona fans over that way.

The game was also amazing. It was not as loud as the Big 12 game (got to
see that one in person also). However, the Arizona fans were in a stupor
from the get go. The two sitting behind me were praying for at least a
field goal.funny. It didn't rain as hard as it may have looked on TV. It
varied from a fine to heavy mist. It was a bit cool though.

Best/Worst fan T-shirt.The Arizona Fans were wearing a shirt with "Bigger
Red" on the front. I don't believe they met the expectations behind the
phrase.

Worst move of the day.I left my Nebraska Huskers car flag flying high when
we went into the game. It was broken off when we came back.go figure.

GO BIG RED!
