My opinion of Perkins is based on his handling of the entire situation.
It is rare (IMO) that anything that is handled by innuendo in the press
the way this thing was has much merit. I remember all the subtle
accusations about Solich that were spread around and they weren't nearly
as public as these were. No manager worth his salt handles personal
issues this way.
