[Husker] Still looking for a QB

OK, I understand now, I was just under the impression that there was news of
some sort that I hadn't heard.

That would throw a wrench into things, but I don't think it makes the
situation more critical than it already is. Zac Lee played almost all of
this season, so he is a (the?) major part of the problem. I don't see how
losing him would hurt us *that* badly. Hey, Martinez and LaTravis with an
extra year in the program? Throw them in, see what they can do. Shawn Watson
said you can't truly understand the offense until you run it in a game. And
we've seen Zac run it in a game. Unfortunately in addition to understanding
the offense, you have to be a good quarterback.

So OK, Lee transfers, we have four guys, one of whom was proclaimed as a
savior as recently as two months ago and hasn't gotten ebola since then.
Another one is a very well-regarded recruit who'll have over a year in the
program, and another one has all the athletic skills to be successful. Spano
is an unknown because of the injuries and is the emergency option (until
something changes). I bet there's at least one more LaTravis Washington
hiding in the program, plus there are always guys like Kellogg.

Where do you want to get another QB who can compete for the job next year?
Paulus and Keller types don't seem to work out well. True freshman are too
young. Good transfers have to sit out a year. Good JUCO guys are probably
off the market. Hey, I'm not saying this is an ideal situation here, but I
don't see the need for any drastic moves at this point.
