[Husker] Still looking for a QB

And waste a year on the pine with no guarantee he plays somewhere else
anyway? I highly doubt Zac Lee is even considering playing anywhere
other than at Nebraska right now, or in the future for that matter. You
have laid out the worst case scenario here and I don't see it happening.
However, the coaches are paid very well to consider ALL scenarios, so I
am sure they are doing just that. And since we are all speculating here,
perhaps Gabbert is also just a mixed up 17 year old who is being
persuaded heavily by his brother (and Pinkel) and also realizes he has
no guarantees to play at Nebraska no matter what offense is in place
there.

While I don't share Aaron's enthusiasm about the QB position, I also
don't agree that the glass is half empty, and with the coaching staff in
place now I am confident things will get sorted out for the better, one
way or another.

No, I meant Zac Lee. There's nothing 100% that says he's staying for
next year. And no, I don't have any special insight, just speculating.

Put it this way - if Gabbert dropped his commitment because of where our
offense is going, perhaps Lee may feel the same way after the season is
over. He was originally brought in to run the West Coast offense. If
they move to a power running game, or something that requires a lot more
running out of the quarterback position, he may feel it's best to move
on.
