[Husker] Setting the table

I have respectfully disagree with that it will not affect next years performance.  The more the team practices and the more the coaches teach and coach the more the team and players will learn and develop.  All those years that the Huskers went to bowl games they practiced more than teams who did not go to a bowl with the resulting success on the field, i.e. the string of winning seasons (of course other factors did affect the Huskers success).

I guess I have to take the flip side on this.  I think the Holiday Bowl is borderline irrelevant (though it is probably somewhere in the middle of these two positions.)  **Bowl games are exhibition games played for profit.** A lot of folks miss this concept.  Compared to last Saturday nights game, it isn't worth much.  I don't think how we play in the Holiday Bowl against Arizona has anything to do with next year.  (next year our offensive tackles will be a year older and we'll still have the same quartebacks).  We'll play our best, probably do very well, and maybe win... or not.  It would be nice to win, but play well or not, I don't think it affects the performance of next years team much.
