[Husker] Fan Base

When did we turn into such a whining, complaining, conspiracy-theory-minded
fan base?
  
>From reading comments here, Huskerextra, Huskerpedia, and ESPN; I am pretty
embarrassed by this public whining.  Many speak with such pride about TO
going for two, but this fan base would have TO run out of town today.

I guess it is the hypocrisy that is driving me crazy.  The same poster that
that is calling out the coaching staff for their public complaining and
emotional outburst is the same one that shot out " Once again Larry Asante
screws up and causes us to lose" within seconds of the game ending.  I'm not
always happy with the results and I do tend to complain, but I think this is
getting out of control.  "greatest fans" that are polite to the other team
and applaud the effort win or loose, but you mean to tell me that we were a
last second field goal from winning the B12 championship 2 to 5 years ago
and nearly everyone would have been elated.

Why can't we just take our medicine?  I know we've been taking a lot, but we
also dished out a lot the past thirty years.  You don't like the coaching
staff, fine.  Put together a donor group, buy them out, and hire the one you
want ($3-5 mln per year).

I want to win as much as the next guy (or gal), but I also want the fan base
to keep some dignity.  All this air of dirty laundry on ESPN is driving me
crazy.

I just wanted to say.  Nothing directed at anyone, I'm just getting tired of
everything being so negative.
