[Husker] How would have Bob Devaney responded?

We have been spoiled by Coach/AD Osborne's behavior. I was rather young
when Bob Devaney coached, but I recall stories about his demeanor.

I'd Coach Pelini is more Coach Devaney than Coach Osborne.

I for one don't mind the emotion. It all depends if the players respond
well to Coach Pelini's attitude, and so far it looks like they do. He was
standing up for his team. We are just fans, we have not invested the
amount of time and emotion into the season as the coaches and players
have. Coach Osborne was a rarity in college football. Coach Pelini may
mellow, but I hope not too much.

I have been reading some of the comments to the Texas newspapers and man
oh man it amazes me how low some of these people go. What happened right
after the game was just an emotional response to a young head coach in
the biggest game he had coached so far.

For those that may be offended or think that Coach Pelini does 'represent
the university very well' need to lighten up. Most coaches react the way
Coach Pelini did. It is just that everyone is under a microscope today,
and the media is looking for reasons to make people look bad.

Go Big Red!
