Oh, that's entirely intentional. That's one of those "I'll write an article guaranteed to generate comments and links by being a complete ass to the opponent" that gets passed off as journalism because it was done by a professional. 

If bloggers (like me) do that stuff, we get skewered for it. Funny how that works.
