Dave -

I don't disagree at all. Castille's dismissal really leaves the RB
position without an experienced backup to Helu. And you're right,
Helu has gotten dinged up a bit this last year, but he had two other
capable backs in the backfield. No one else back there this year has
gotten a snap in a Division I college game. There is quality in that
backfield, but little experience. None have Castille's size.

My concern was with what Kathy said earlier about some of the bloggers
and other who have been speculating ad nauseum about what Castille
did, or rather what everyone thinks he did. My point was that it
doesn't really matter. He broke Bo's rules. We assume he knew Bo's
rules, and still he broke them. Doesn't really matter what rule he
broke, or even how many times. I think we can assume it was more than
a minor breach, but other than that, do we really need to know?

I heard Shatel this afternoon on the radio, who will write his piece
for tomorrow's paper asking that Bo give out more information about
the process Bo used, or uses, to make decisions on player status. I
wish him luck with that. I don't think Bo owes us much of an
explanation, and I rather doubt that he'll give us one.
