[Husker] Baseball: Anderson says there's a reason for NU's
struggles

Oh, man...... honestly, I don't have time to look at this harder
because I'm in the middle of writing and editing next year's Nebraska
yearbook. What I'd say is this (and this is off the top of my head):
- I like Mike Anderson for the reasons he stated in the article. He
does things the right way. This time it cost him.
- A week or two ago, Steve Sipple did an article about the AAU's
influence on college basketball recruiting:

What you have to wonder is whether these same type of forces are at
work in college baseball.
There's a lot of crap going on in college sports right now. The
recruitment of Bryce Brown in college football is an example of an
issue I believe we're going to see a lot more of, and I don't believe
the NCAA has a lot of power to control that.
- On the contrary (devil's advocate) side, if Nebraska lost so many
recruits to the MLB draft, is there a reason they chose the draft over
Nebraska, i.e, they didn't want to come to Nebraska because of the
coaches? I'll be honest here and state that I don't know enough about
the players or the MLB draft to say whether or not all the recruits
made good or bad choices. In other words, was there enough money for
them to make choosing college a dumb choice?
