Does anyone think this is a good thing? I don't understand the logic
behind bringing in a kid who has just played 4 years of basketball -
not football - and expect him to bring competition to the team this
year at quarterback? Based on what I (heard/saw on replays) on
Saturday, I don't think our QB problems are all that bad. Yes,
Latravis Washington is a bit raw, but he sounds like he throws well on
the move (trouble throwing off his back foot causing passes to go
high) and he seemed to handle pressure pretty well. And he seems able
to run, which couldn't be demonstrated in the Spring Game. Paulus on
the other hand would need considerable time just getting a small part
of the offense down. Its not like we're running the single wing
anymore.
And I'm not so sure we could use the kid from Miami - sounds a bit
like a familiar tale - keep going where you can be the star, but maybe
not recognizing that you're not the star you think you are.
Just my thoughts, but neither seems to make much sense to me. I think
I'll go with Bo on this one.
