[Husker] The State of Husker Baseball (Warning: REALLY LONG)

That's what I was asking: What are the implications Anderson's job
status? (Not what should it be.) Skylar's previous post presented
his personal opinion --- a strong but balanced defense of why Anderson
should continue --- but that is different (because Skyar isn't running
the Athletic Department, or he is doing so quietly).
As to John's suggestion that the NU Athletic Department isn't
supportive of NU baseball because it has other priorities, I don't know
how true that is. Certainly, it is reasonable that other sports are a
higher priority, but NU plays in one of the nicest facilities in
college baseball, can offer athletes many other benefits, and has good
fan support. These are among the most important ingredients for
success.
With the team in last place in the conference, getting swept at home,
and then blown out 15-0 by an in-state rival, it is not ludicrous
to start wondering how long NU will wait for a turnaround. I too
would be surprised if one year like this, even if things continue
as bad as they've been (which wouldn't be a surprise given the bad
pitching) would precipitate a change, but does this mean Anderson
will be need to have a better team next year?
