The biggest one was Farm Aid, back in 1986 IIRC. At that time, there were concerns about damage from cigarettes to the field.  The setup at Memorial Stadium isn't conducive to concerts, as most artists want to bring in their own audio/video equipment, and the North and South stadiums were not designed to allow trucks to haul that equipment in.

During his exile, Ron Brown wanted to hold a revival meeting at the stadium, but was turned down.
