I can remember a few years ago complaints about Don Baylor of the Cubs
not really understanding how to manage pitchers, and that he either
left his starters in too long or pulled them too early. Too bad there
isn't a gauge on these guys' arms where you can just go up to one and
check to make sure his arm hasn't gone past 'al dente' (using the
spaghetti arm analogy). But in all fairness to Don Baylor, I don't
think he had much in the way of pitchers anyway. And this is coming
from a White Sox fan (former) - I don't have to be fair to Don Baylor.
And here's my thanks to the list for dropping the political discussion
quickly. I appreciate it.
Now, what about the Spring Game? Is Bo going to make it interesting,
or are we just going to see what the #1's can do against the scout
teams? And why can't this game be on TV?
