Nick, I don't know much about the in's and outs of baseball, but I'll give
you what I have observed, Yesterday Hauptman had a rough first inning give 3
runs but settled in and had retired 19 of 20. Then ran into a bit of trouble
in the 7th. It seems to me that Coach A is pulling some of the guys to soon
as in yesterday. When Hauptman left it was 3-2 K St.

And as I am fond of quoting others because I am void of original ideas
myself, I offer this one from James Thurber, I think.
"Shut up, he explained."
I'll thank each one of you individually IF we can keep mean-spirited,
meaningless argument about things that really matter out of these
discussions. For that we have tons of bad and worse examples to
follow on the television.
After all, this list is about Nebraska sports. If we were as bad off
as some think we are, we wouldn't have sports to argue about, we'd all
be wringing our hands unable to cope.
And to kick it off, as totally uninterested as I am about baseball,
what the ^&*# is going on with that baseball team? And, as I am sort
of interested in the women's volleyball team, are we looking at
another run at the national championship despite the loss of some
pretty important seniors? And finally, has anyone got an inkling
about whether it will be #1 vs #1 in the spring game, a topic of some
discussion last year.
Nick (trying to be as apolitical as possible)
