[Husker] Huskers make more from PPV than traditional broadcast

I dont know but it could be that after a while the fans will quit paying for crappy games. I think the reason we did this year is that we were so bad last year we had to buy them this year to see what Bo would do to turn us around. Those questions were not really answered the first two so you had to buy #3 to see if they would be. People will get tired of paying for games that are not all that fun to watch and then the payoff will drop. I dont think you would have the same results in two years with the same three teams.

Nebraska expects to get $250,000 to $400,000 from each of the first three
pay-per-view broadcasts, compared to $275,000 from a network telecast.

Sadly, this might be counterproductive if fans are arguing for tougher games on
the schedule. When you can get a home game with New Mexico State and
potentially get more money for the telecast than a bigger opponent, what's
the incentive for playing a team like Virginia Tech?
