You are very wrong Jon. The only, and I DO MEAN ONLY way that we beat Missouri is to score more points than them. It doesn't matter if it is 3-2 or 100-99. The only way to win is to score more points.
I have never understood the whole "we cant win a shoot out". What do you propose that a runner do if he gets in the open and can score on the first play of a series? Should he fall down so that we keep the ball and not score and run down the clock more? No of course not. You score when you can, how you can, and you hope your defense gets one more stop then the other teams. That is the only possible way to win. You dont design a play to only gain 4 or 5 yards. You hope to get that and then a whole lot more.

If we put up 40 on Mizzou you can consider it a loss because we can't
win a shoot out with them.
The only (and I mean the ONLY way) we win against Mizzou is to keep
the scoring low, in the mid-20's. Our defense won't stop them. No
defense will stop them.
So that means the only way we're going to stop them is a plodding,
consistent, old-fashioned ground game that averages four yards a carry
with no turnovers and no penalties. Keep Chase Daniel and Jeremy
Maclin off the field and limit their opportunities.
Then, we'll need some luck. :)
