[Husker] Game thoughts

Here is my take on the game:

It was pretty boring, and that is a good thing because it panned out
exactly like I thought it would. Nebraska got a big lead early, and
coasted to an easy victory.

The fact that Joe Ganz caught a touchdown, threw for a touchdown, and
ran for a touchdown was definitely the highlight. Considering the only
two other players to ever do that at Nebraska won the Heisman trophy
(Eric Crouch and Johnny Rodgers), it was quite a feat. Nebraska ran the
ball at will on New Mexico State, which was awesome to see considering
Nebraska's inability to do just that against SJSU and Western Michigan.
The defense gave up a few big plays, but overall, they looked
respectable. They would have pitched a shutout if not for a flukey
fumble late in the game (after Ganz had been taken out).

The score was a little misleading. Nebraska probably should have won
this game 52-0, but I will take a 31-point victory any day of the week.
If they play like this in 2 weeks, Nebraska should be able to beat
Virginia Tech. After that, it will be hard to say how the season
progresses. I am just happy that Pedey's cupcake games are over with.
We will know a lot more about this team after October 4th.
