Ok, so if you plug in what you typed the point of the sentence really
doesn't change all that much does it?
One other thing to remember, even if the jury couldn't be certain that
he was guilty beyond reasonable doubt, he will be associated with this
for the rest of his life, and I'd guess that will bring some difficult
consequences with it as well.

The jury concluded that they couldn't be certain that
he was guilty beyond reasonable doubt. That's much
different than believing he didn't do it.
