OK my take on why NU wins. OU is the last top 20 team we beat, when Stuntz took the pitch from Collins and passed to Crouch for the TD ( I could be wrong about this but I think its right) so its about time to do it again. NU is the team that stopped OUs 57 game win streak and although they dont have that kind of streak history says its time for another upset. OU is the team that broke NUs heart so many times in the 70s and 80s that it is time to turn the tables and do it to them.
NU 28 OU 25
There is only one reason I wouldn't mind seeing OU beat NU this Saturday and that is if OU and Texas were to win out and Penn St and Bama were to both lose that should leave OU and TU as #s 1-2 and playing in the MNC game. I think this might speed up the process to get a playoff. There would be so much whinning about this being a rematch and we already know who won, about OU not even playing in their conference championship game and lastly and mostly that all the MONEY from the championship game would be going to one conference that something is bound to happen. So for the long term good of college football I could stomach a one point loss to OU.

I'd like to think you are right, but the realist in me thinks that OU will
be similar to Missouri. The only way the Huskers score a couple of late
TD's is if Ganz stays in the game against the 2's and 3's of
OU...and I hope that doesn't happen.
Nebraska's offense has looked good at times this year, but mostly against
the lower tier teams. I think OU is much better than both Missouri and TT.
Again, I hope I'm wrong, and the Huskers can play well against the Sooners.
I just don't expect it to happen.
Ganz has proven he is a quality QB, and he is able to make adjustments at the
line of scrimmage. In fact, I'd put him up there with Zac Taylor in his
ability to run this offense. He may even be better than Taylor, as he is more
mobile and has the ability to make plays.
OU does not have a great passing defense, but they are 20th in the nation
against the run and are 3rd in the nation in sacks. OU has a good rushing
defense. The Huskers do not have a good running game, and that will hurt. OU
can pin back their ears and go after Ganz. He could have a rough day.
Again, I think the Huskers get blown out in this game, but I hope that I'm
just being pessimistic and they come out like gangbusters. Last year, against
Texas, they played great defense for nearly 3 quarters. If they can do that
this year against OU for all 4 quarters, the game could be interesting.

our offense out of the endzone. NO WAY. Their defense is giving up 32 points
per game in the Big XII against teams that don't have an offense as good as
ours.

closer than it is. I hope for closer, but I still think they're a fair
amount better than us.

WAY, NO WAY. I don't normally gamble on sports, but if you'd like to
take that bet, you can email me off the list and I'll gladly start Saturday.

excellent coaching staff. I'm only hoping that Pelini decides to let the
backups get a few snaps. I believe that this team will get better over time,
however, they have no chance in this game. This is a good opportunity to work
on next year's players.
