[Husker] still hoping for a winning record

Ok, we've won the so-called easy games on the schedule. The 3 pay-to-play games and the 2 teams that get no respect. We've lost to two top ten teams and another that is a team representative of quality football. In those losses we've played some pretty good football at times. I believe the team has improved virtually every week so the last three games should be really interesting. We aren't going to beat Oklahoma so I'm trying not to even dream about that. (But my god, that would be a freaking HUGE win for the program, wouldn't it?)

So we have to win 2 out of the last three games to get a winning record. I get it that everything is not all about wins and losses, and our wins have not been over great competition, but at the beginning of the season I thought the best case for the team this year was to get a winning record. We have to play Kansas and Colorado at home, K State away. Those are all going to be tough games and winning 2 out of 3 is a big order. On the opposite side though, I think the team has so improved, particularly the offense, that losing 2 of 3 would be hard to take. Sweep them? I'll think about that when we win the first two. Regardless, the last 3 games of the season look to be really competitive and great to look forward to.

Here's hoping for a miracle in Norman Saturday night. That's the kind of win that turns a program around (faster).

Dave
