I said 7-8 wins at the beginning of the year and I still feel comfortable
with that prediction.  If for no other reason, I just love what I'm hearing
from the players.  I think they're starting to believe just a little in what
they're doing and the coaches really worked hard last week to simplify what
they were doing on offense (mostly in the run game).

Baylor - Win, but closer than you might think.  BU is WAY better this year

Also, I love what the coaches did this week.  Instead of shifting and a lot
of moving blocking they opted for a much more straight ahead run approach
which I think you have to learn how to do first.  Once you master exploding
off the ball and blocking the guy in front of you, THEN you can start
working in more trap/zone blocking with some more complicated schemes.  I
think Cotton himself bought into the O-Line hype a little much and figured
he could skip that step.  After the Mizzou game it was obvious that we
needed to get back to square one in the run game and we did.

The other thing I LOVE that Watson did (and I've been very critical of him,
but he was brilliant vs TT) was used the short passing game as just another
run.  We have a few  6'4+ 210+ guys on the outside that can run pretty well,
if we throw a quick out to them and they get tackled, they'll get 4-5 yards
just by leaning forward with the ball!

As good as Peterson was yesterday, I think we might have seen the beginning
of Meno Holt's emergence.  I think he's got a load of talent and he's really
starting to get his routes down and he's show a couple of times he can hang
on to the ball even in traffic.

I think we win 1 of the 2 between CU and KU, maybe both. I really doubt we
lose both.  

Finish 7-5 + bowl game.

We NEED to make a bowl game this year.  This team needs the reps that the 20
extra practices bring.
