So it does appear that the D has improved....LOL. I know what you are saying about the offense but it amazes me that people forget that we weren't ranked that high until the last 3 games when Ganz seemed to ingnite the O. Before that we were way way down esp in scoring O.

I don't know anything other than the rumor at the time was that since
the focus was to start turning the defense around (which too many people
thought would be an overnight task) and they knew who the starting QB and 
IB would be, keeping the OC/QB coach made life a little easier.  

Also, last year the offense was 9th ranked nationally in terms of total 
yards and 28th in points scored, both rankings a whole lot better than what
the defense had (112th and 114th), so it didn't appear that it was as 
broken.  

Right now the offense is 40th in total yards and 30th in points scored 
and the defense is 82nd in total yards and 72nd in points allowed.

Ominous stats for next Saturday:  Texas Tech is 33rd nationally in
points allowed (Missouri is now 44th) and 5th in points scored (Missouri
is 2nd.)
