[Husker] Some Comments

1) In some ways, the win over the Buffs was the most exciting but the 
least satisfying victory of the season. It began in an 
all-too-familiar manner and ended like truly bad fiction. Either way, 
though, I'll take it.

2) If the Huskers match up against the 'Noles in the Gator Bowl, 
they've got a fighting chance. The Gator-Seminole game on TV last 
night showed a FSU team that has plenty of spunk but various 
exploitabe (I hope) defensive weaknesses.

3) No matter how often Dr. Tom tells us that the kicking game is 
one-third of the contest, it seems we never fully get it until 
something like yesterday's field goal brings it to the fore.

4) Until yesterday the Huskers had a pretty good offense in the red zone.

5) Despite a couple of badly blown plays early in the first quarter, 
the defensive backfield played perhaps its best game of the season 
over all. The linebacking corps if finally becoming a force.

6) After once again having to watch an ABC presentation of college 
football, I long for a season consisting entirely of pay-per-view 
games.
