[Husker] whoa

I just got back from Lincoln, and I have to say that this was one of the
most exciting games in recent memory.

This has already been said by a few other posters, but the fake field
goal to end the first half was just terrible. As we all know from
watching the end of the game, Alex Henery stood a reasonable chance of
booting that 50+ yard field goal right on through. I also don't think
that we had much of a chance at gaining the 7 yards needed to secure a
1st down, even if the no-look flip wasn't picked off.

If Nebraska would have gone into halftime with a 10 point lead after
trailing 14-0 to begin the game, I think it would have demoralized the
Buffs. Instead, the Buffs went into the locker room with a tie and all
the momentum in the world. This seemed like one of those games that
Nebraska was destined to lose. We dominated Colorado in almost every
offensive category except for the score.

Right before the field goal attempt, if someone would have told me that
Nebraska was going to win by 9 points, I would have laughed in their
face. Even with the knowledge of Alex Henery's abilities, I didn't
think he had the leg for a 57-yarder with the game on the line. That
shows what I know. I don't think I'll ever forget that kick. I was 32
rows up from the field goal posts, and I thought I saw the ball go
*under* the crossbar. Everyone around me started going crazy, but I
thought it was a false alarm. When I saw the refs raise their arm on
the HuskerVision screen, I finally joined in the pandomonium! When Suh
interecepted that pass and ran it back for 6 points, I think I jumped
into the next row and started hugging any random person I could find.
It was an absolute blast!

THe game never should have been this close, but a win is a win. And 8
wins and a New Years Day bowl is even better than I expected for this
year. Congrats to Bo on a great first season (I forgive him for the
fake field goal call!)
