So they're thinking of trading one Husker assistant for another?
Out of curiosity, other than Turner Gill what former Husker assistants
have had success as a head coach somewhere else?
Miami of Ohio is the Cradle of Coaches, Bill Snyder had a number of
assistant coaches who have gone on to be successful head coaches (Bob
Stoops and Mark Mangino, just to name two), but for the most part
under Osborne the assistants stayed at Nebraska. (Neither Solich
nor Callahan were around long enough to have recruited many assistant
coaches.)
