My personal feeling is there's no such thing as RUTS in the first 3
quarters.  A coach can and should score absolutely as many points as they
can until the 4th.

Teams have scored a lot more than 5 touchdowns in one quarter before
(although probably not from behind).  So once you're up that big in the
fourth, put the scrubs in and let them do their thing. 

That being said, I think Frankie was guilty of a little RUTS that game
although I think it had little to do with what followed.

That's a matter of opinion, and I disagree with it. Running a trick play 
with a five-touchdown lead late in the third quarter is RUTS in any 
game. I thought it was wrong at the time, and nothing I've seen here or 
elsewhere has changed my opinion.
