[Husker] The Talk about Next Year's DBs and LBs

I have read all of the interesting posts concerning speculation about
who will be competing and / or playing at the various LB and DB spots.

Folks, you are missing a bigger picture issue. None of this will make
any difference unless we upgrade our defensive line substantially; and I
don't mean just plug in some new players but we need tackles who are
consistent and stalwarts and who can create havoc. We need ends who
don't get sucked in with every little ball fake and who can actually run
with some degree of urgency to at least put some degree of concern into
an opponents mind with wide running plays and quarterback run/pass
options. I don't mean to take anything away from our current
players......they consistent try very hard.....but I have said this
before they are way below our standard of talent level for a Big 12
competitive team and we are trying to play in this area with scheme
instead of brawn and you are witnessing that in this area 85% of the
time brawn wins out.
