I know OU runs a no huddle so substitutions are difficult and the flow of the game is totally dictated by their offense, but there were TONS of mental errors on the NU defense.

There were several plays where two (even three) defenders would run with the same OU player and leave someone else WIDE open or completely leave huge gaps in running lanes because of blown assignments. In case anyone didn't notice, the OU return teams smoked the Huskers all night long, for essentially the same reasons.

Your observations are correct, but your conclusions are arguable. If
players are constantly busting assignments, that might also indicate an
inability on the part of the staff to teach them well enough. It's all a
matter of opinion, of course, and the only opinion that matters is Bo's.
It will be interesting to see which of the starters in the secondary are
starting again next year (I think only Murillo is a senior), and which
of the coaches (if any) depart at the end of this season.
