I hope he doesn't mellow.  He reminds me a bit of Norm Stewart, former
BB coach at Mizzou.  Norm yelled at everybody, especially the refs.

BUT, I always thought his teams got more than their share of borderline
calls going their way, so I think having a reputation for picking on
officials helps, especially if you follow it up with documentation to
the league office on the obvious blown calls.

BTW, Osborne may have not been as frantic about it on the sidelines, but 
a couple of former Big Eight officials have told me that over his 25 years 
at Nebraska the conference heeded his protests and didn't rehire a couple 
of the officials he complained about.
