According to the Big XII Web site, the Cornhuskers will be seeded #7 and play #10 seed Missouri at 6 p.m. Thursday night in Kansas City (always a joy to play Mizzou there).? Unfortunately, if they win, they get K.U. on Friday.? NU has to play the hand that's dealt them, but being seeded 8 or 9 might have been a better draw, although playing Oklahoma State would be a tall order right now ... really playing well as of the last month.? #8 or #9 seed would have paired them with #1 Texas on Friday, if they could've advanced past round one.? Most would probably agree that NU matches up much better against Texas than KU.

Game 1: #8 Texas Tech vs. #9 Oklahoma State - 11:30 a.m.
Game 2: #5 Baylor vs. #12 Colorado - 2 p.m.
Game 3: #7 Nebraska vs. #10 Missouri - 6 p.m.
Game 4: #6 Texas A&M vs. #11 Iowa State - 8:30 p.m.

Friday, March 14
Game 5: #1 Texas vs. Game 1 winner - 11:30 a.m.
Game 6: #4 Oklahoma vs. Game 2 winner - 2 p.m.
Game 7: #2 Kansas vs. Game 3 winner - 6 p.m.
Game 8: #3 Kansas State vs. Game 4 winner - 8:20 p.m.

Saturday, March 15
Game 9:? Friday afternoon winners - 1 p.m.
Game 10: Friday evening winners - 3:20 p.m.

By the way, the Huskers ended the season (regular
season anyway) on a high note - beating Colorado.
Maric led the Huskers in points, rebounds AND assists
- nice way to go out.

Depending on what happens with Oklahoma State and
Texas, the Huskers (I think) could end up with the 6th
seed in the Big 12 tournament. If not, it looks like
they would play Texas Tech in the first round.

With 18 wins, this has to be a NIT team, but at least
one win in the b12 tourney sure would be nice.
