baseball season?

My general observation was that a team that overachieved all season and
won somewhat with smoke and mirrors ran out of magic.
More pointedly I think a team that relied heavily on pitching,
especially the bullpen, had those pitchers run out of gas and they just
didn't have anything left in the tank by the end of the season. The
offense, which was average on good days all season just couldn't pick up
the slack.
Unlike other recent years where they were expected to be pretty good
only to fall down and disappoint at the end of the season - I think this
year's Husker Baseball season was definitely a success and one that I am
very pleased with as a fan.
And speaking of fans - Saturday night's game against UC Irvine had the
highest attendance of any regional game - at least through Saturday's
games. I think that is a great testament to the fans, the program and
what a beautiful facility Haymarket Park is.
