[Husker] Depth Chart

After last season on defense, I'm not sure any experience was valuable. (Kansas just scored again!)
The sad fact is that this season, we are REALLY thin at linebacker. Dillard has good experience, but that's it. Wortmann has worked his way through the program and done his time. Blake Lawrence and LaTravis Washington didn't get much playing time last season. So Glenn is probably as ready as any of those guys. Pelini stresses that effort is more important than scheme; Glenn will be the acid test on that. Glenn will probably be limited in what he can do, but when he does it, look out.
We'll have a similar problem on the D-line next year, so developing depth will be important this season.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Roy Helu being "co-#1 I-Back". Marlon Lucky does a few things really, really well, but he's never been a complete back IMHO. Helu might be that complete back, and I wouldn't be surprised if Helu doesn't end up playing more snaps at I-back this fall than Lucky. (Lucky may see more total snaps, because you can line him up in the slot as well and really wreak some havoc with opposing defenses.)
