[Husker] TV Issues

Good Morning All:

Regarding the TV situation for the first three games, quite honestly Nebraska has taken a tremendous hit in the TV world due to the past four years events here in Lincoln. The blame can be spread around from the AD's office (prior to Tom Osborne's arrival) right on down to the coaching and product (winning/losing) on the field.

At one point the "tune in" factor for NU was quite high but that has dropped to the point of the "tune out" factor being greater than the "tune in" factor.

NU is going to have to work hard at restoring their image. Schedules like this year's and 2009 (which is even worse since we could be crowned co-champion of the Sunbelt Conference if we win all three of our non-comference games against the Sunbelt Conference next year). If NU can start winning consistantly things should be better in 2010 when the non-conference schedule improves.

At least one of (possibly 2 but I doubt it) the first three games will likely be PPV, and remember PPV games must start at either 11:30 AM or 6:00 PM. Marc Boehm has said that no more than two will be PPV as they (NU) do not want to start games all over the map timewise. Regular kickoff for non-televised games is 12:30.
