And if department employees were getting incentivized (incented?) to assure
academic success, wouldn't that just lead to grade inflation anyway?
English department: Johnny got an A in Composition this semester.
Chem department: Well, he didn't blow anything up, so I'Johnny got an A+ in
Chem 109!
Math department: That's nothing! He got an A-to-the-twentieth power in Calc
106!!!
Where would it end?
(That was rhetorical, Steve. I know the answer is "the CS department". 8^)
