That was the coldest game I have been to. I went to opening day that year and about passes out from the heat then didn't make it to another day until the end of the season and thought I was going to get frostbite.

Among others, I vividly remember sitting through the bitter cold 1976 and 1993 Nebraska-Oklahoma games in Lincoln and was curious how cold it actually got during those contests.? If someone could direct me where to find this information, I would greatly appreciate it.? Thanks.

Tom Osborne's final home game as head coach ('97 vs. Iowa State) has to
be among the coldest. I remember wearing about 5 layers of clothes
along with some of those glove and shoe warmers. IIRC, it was a 63-0
game at *halftime*. Not many people stuck around for the 2nd half. I
did, however.

Luckily, that's the only home game I've ever been to that was absolutely
bone-chilling. Thanks Global Warming! :)
