While McKeon certainly struggled this past season, I doubt too many people would think it appropriate to ask his mother the reason(s) at a post season all star game, but what do I know.

Thanks for the post and the photos. I hope you had a great time in Hawaii. Did you ask McKeon's mom what happened last season? McKeon had a lousy year and that is being kind. I'm no expert on NFL talent, but I would be very surprised if he ends up playing on Sundays.

My wife and I attended the Hula Bowl 2008 at Aloha stadium in Hawaii this weekend. Specifically, I wanted to watch Corey McKeon and Maurice Purify. They were assigned to the "Aina" team which whipped the "Kai" team. It was a generally sloppy game for the Kai team. I took numerous pictures of our two Cornhuskers representatives and posted them for all to see (link below).

They threw to Mo 3 times of which he caught 1. He showed his strength during the YAC because it took several players to get him down. Cory played extensively. He had a couple of tackles but nothing spectacular. Both Mo and Corey played on the kickoff team. I don't believe they showcased much during the game. I hope their practices in front of the scouts went well.

I had the pleasure of "thanking" both Mo and Corey for their efforts at Nebraska. Additionally, Corey's mother sat next to me for a time and we chatted. Corey is training somewhere on the east coast. She mentioned Mo was able to bring his brother to Hawaii with him. She also stated the Hula Bowl was extremely disorganized. They'd left Corey's jersey back at the office and he wore a XXXXL size shirt during their warm-ups.

Overall, it was a great day...the Sony Open in the morning and the Hula Bowl in the afternoon. Being stationed in Hawaii definitely has some advantages!
