No doubt that Kansas is a top tier team. I will be very surprised if KU doesn't end up as a 1 seed for the NCAA Tourney. I doubt KU will run the table, but 1 or 2 losses is all I can see them with at the end of the year.
I don't think this is the game to measure Nebraska's progress with. Let's see if we can finish the conference with an even, or a winning record. That will show tremendous progress and should translate into a NCAA bid at least.
I find it amazing that Nebraska still has (Zero) lifetime NCAA Tournement wins. Surely Doc can break through and get that first win eventually. It's become a huge problem in the program, not having a single NCAA win. 32 + 1 teams every year get at least 1 NCAA Tourney win. I still say this team has a good chance to dance, and may very well pull off a round one win. That is what we need to open the doors for this program. Open the flood gates is a better way of saying it.
Am I right in saying that we should get a NCAA bid combining our 2 loss non conference start with an 8 - 8, or 9 - 7 conference record? Kansas is the only home game we can afford to lose as road wins are very hard to come by.

While it is true NU lost by 21 points against KU it was encouraging.
Doc Sadler certainly appears to have this ship sailing in the right
direction. When one considers the magnitude of the opponent it really wasn't
all that bad. There aren't very many teams in the country that could beat
Kansas if Kansas is playing well. I personally feel the best two teams I
have seen by far are North Carolina and Kansas.
